1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SteadyCare (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SteadyCare on devices you own or control, for your own personal or professional caregiving use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into SteadyCare — care recipient profiles, caregiver information, medication schedules, dose logs, shift handoff notes, care notes, photos, and Dementia Care Module entries — is yours. It's stored locally on your device only. We do not access, host, or claim any ownership over your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Pricing and Purchases

SteadyCare is currently offered free of charge, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising. If a future version introduces paid features, a subscription, or advertising, this section will be updated in advance and any purchases would be processed and refunded solely according to the App Store's or Google Play's own policies — Beacon Light Investments does not process payments directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Medical Disclaimer

SteadyCare is a record and coordination tool, not a clinician. It never diagnoses, interprets behavior as a specific medical or psychological condition, recommends a dose or intervention, or replaces professional medical advice. It exists to structure a caregiver's own observations so a family member or clinician can act on them. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions or decisions, including anything related to medication.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device, or any decision made based on records kept in the App.

9. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device remains yours; use "Delete All My Data" in Settings to remove it.
